My Intel CPU and Windows 7 compatibility

Hello everyone

I would like to ask if anybody here can tell me if my Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6300 @ 1.86GHz CPU is compatible with Windows 7. I've tried to register to the Intel community forums to ask there, but it's impossible, Maybe only to programmers/developers.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Yes, any Intel CPU will work with Windows 7 as long as it is 1GHz or faster.

I'm thinking we might not be getting to the right issue. Are you actually trying to verify if the processor is Windows 7 x64 compatible? I haven't ever heard of anyone asking if their process is just Windows 7 compatible, especially since that answer could be classified as either common sense, or easily found on Google.

If you are asking about the 64 bit compatibility, then yes, your processor is.
