I have recently installed Windows 7 RC as an upgrade over my Windows Vista installation - installed on an HP 6735b laptop with 2 GB RAM. The install completed with no issues and all applications seem to be working fine. However if I try to right-click a file on my desktop the Windows Explorer hangs and is required to be killed. It generlally takes a couple of minutes to exit completely. The system does not require a reboot however I am unable to select any desktop Icon and gain access to the various options provided in the selection window traditionaly provided with the right-click mouse selection.
