    Hold spacebar + move cursor?

Please help: when I hold the spacebar I cannot move the cursor at the same time (via the touchpad, but can with a mouse) -- a must for PS!

    Thanks in advance!

I have a Acer 5738Z and able to hold the space bar and move my cursor using the touchpad and mouse.

Intially only the mouse worked, but then I a disabled the touchpad lock and it works.

Is your touchpad locked? The small button close to the touchpad on the right top corner?

    Hold Spacebar + Move Cursor?

    Thanks for the reply, dre@ms.

The touchpad is not locked: the cursor moves as expected unless am holding down the spacebar at the same time. I wish to be able to hold space bar and move the cursor--with the touchpad--at the same time. This is an easy way to scroll around an image in photoshop.

    Thanks again!

Sorry, just realized that while holding any key--not only spacebar--I cannot move the cursor. Is there some way to change this so that I can hold a key and move the cursor at the same time?

Thanks for the clarification pal. It seems to be a driver(synaptics) issue.

Mind removing and downloading the latest drivers and check..

    Drivers | Synaptics

UPDATE: In my acer, eventhough I have the driver cd, I havent installed the synaptics thing. But still, I am able to use the touchpad while any key is depressed. Why not give it a shot. Remove the synaptics thing and then try.
