Control Panel Pop Out Menu Font Size

    Control Panel Pop Out Menu Font Size


    Going to Start Menu and then to Control Panel, I have it set so that
    Control Panel displays as a pop out menu.

    How can the font size be changed on this pop out menu? I have tried the
    Advanced Appearance Settings and can make the other items on the Start
    Menu/Browser Menus, etc... any size I wish but, not the Control Panel pop out.

    It is way too small of a font size, tiny. Any ideas?

    I already have the Display set to a customized 110% and don't really want to up it any higher because things start to look cartoonish any larger than that.

    Could it be Here:

    Control Panel=>Personalization=>Windows Color=>Avanced Parameters Tab

    Thanks for the suggestion, NoN. That isn't it though, as far as I can tell. That is the area in which I changed the sizes of all fonts "except" the Control Panel pop out menu font.

    There just doesn't seem to be a way to change that font size.

    I do not think you can change it...looks all the same size you'd parameter for your own...

    The image file limitations on this website do not allow for a good representation of what I am talking about.

    Therefore, I upped the sizes of my start menu fonts and desktop fonts to make them even larger than what I normally use to try and make a good contrast with the Control panel fonts.

    Hope it shows up okay and you can see the difference in sizes.

    The above link is really the best way to get an idea of what I am talking about. Open it in a real image viewer of some type instead of a browser in order to get the full effect.

    Allright, saw that larger one...digging...

    Looks the alternate solution will be a registry hack to resize the roll-up menu fonts.
    Tried what you did, and it is the same issue as you.

    Strange that only the roll-up menu have smallest fonts and Start Menu is the same as you parameter for your need...

    I tried a second time and all seems the same size for me (both menu & roll-up menu)...

    -One screenshot with 96Dpi Fonts (100%) of the registry,
    -Another One with 120Dpi Fonts (125%) of the registry. Please don't mess your registry unless you know what you are doing.

    I saw i haven't the option 110% (100%-125%-150%-200% as default values). I do not know where you got that 110% value...might the cause that roll-up menu not sized as the others windows & fonts. Could you try default values?

I have a 1920x1080 display on a Inspiron 1750 running Windows 7. I have tried to change the DPI and for some reason the red runs on the right side of the display because of a bad driver that is the best I can get. I have also tried changing resolutions and that blurs things. There are several...
i have 22 inch monitor i want to retain dpi at 100% i have changed the font size of icon, menu,message box etc. by using advance setting of -- Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Personalization\Window Color and Appearance but i cannot change the font size of control panel items...
I have no idea how it happened but the font type and size of all the captions of controls like tab, button, form text etc had changes and has gone too small. My window color and appereance is all set to size 9 Segoe UI. The Setting seems to have affected some windows and seems to not affect...
