Hi,
On my search to a free(ware) screen capture program I found the message that in some Vista + Windows 7 version, I have the pro, you can find the Snipping Tool
Most Windows-program which come together with the new OS-disc are crappy stuf, but I must try it before I have to say it's even rubbishy ...!
I read the discription (see the above link) and have searched my Original Windows 7 disc and searched all the files/maps by hand and with the Win search but couldn't find anything.
It's strange that Microsoft write so and it isn't to find on my computersystem included my Windows 7/64 version, maybe it's not to find because I live in Europe (that are other versions)? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number DEVIANT-CORTEX OS Windows Pro x64 CPU Bloomfield, i7 @ 920, x58, 1366 LGA, ICH10R Motherboard ASUS P6T Base, extra the Sharkoon USB3.0 Host Controller Memory 12 Gb Tripple Channel 1600 Mhz Graphics Card XFX (ATI) Radeon HD-5770 GDDR5 1024 Mb Sound Card on board, 8-ch. 7.1 Dolby Surround HD, S/Pdif, HDMI, DVI-D Monitor(s) Displays SAMSUNG Syncmaster LCD-monitor/TV, P2370HD, Full HD Screen Resolution 1920x1080p Keyboard Logitech S520 Keyboard & laser mouse combi (bad service) Mouse see above PSU LG Blu-ray/DVD-combi & Samsung external DVD both player/burn Case Aero Cool Middle Tower (something like that) Cooling 80W (forgot the name) Hard Drives Extern: Western Digital My Pasport Essential SE, 1 TB, USB3.0 (no trafo); IOmega eGo 2TB USB3.0 (terrible HDD, too much noise + very bad service); Western Digital My Book Essential USB2.0 1TB, Western Digital My Pasport Essential USB2.0 1TB, Samsun Internet Speed Down: 120 MBps Up: 5 MBps Other Info Most of the time I've the newest (software)drivers, because sometimes I test too for some software-companies. P.e. everyone use Adobe Flash player 10.03 and I use 11, even with Oracle Java 6 update 27, I use Java 7 x64 |

The snipping tool is in Accessories. If you have Vista, you have to enable the Tablet PC option - else it is not there. Go figure. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP, Dell, Gateway, Toshiba - 4 laptops and 2 desktops OS Vista, Windows7, Mint Mate, Zorin, Windows 8 CPU from 1.6GHz Duo to i7 Monitor(s) Displays 2x HP w2207 Keyboard with trackball - no mices Mouse Trackball mice Hard Drives 5x HDD, 7x SSD, 12x Externals Internet Speed DSL 6000 |
