Hi, ExplicitUrSelf.

If all your friend did was remove any leftover registry entries from wmp12, your computer should be fine.

I personally do not recommend editing the registry unless absolutely necessary. It is much too easy to do serious damage to the system.

Hello ExplicitUrSelf.

If you're not having any issues, performance or otherwise, I'd be loath to bother the registry on an off chance that something may be amiss, if it's not broke, don't fix it.

Do you have a system restore point for the time BEFORE your friend fiddled? If yes, restoring to that point should take care of the matter, IF REQUIRED.

What's a good program to take registry snapshots?
I'm sick of going into the registry each time I delete a program and having to delete remnants of the program. Therefore, I want to have a program that can take registry snap shots so I can delete the program (completely from my computer) if I don't like it. Any suggestions?
