Windows 7: Want folder windows to remember size and position

Drives me nuts that Folder windows do not (have option) to remember their size and position. Or am I just stupid?

And which forum would this be under?

Choose the size and position you want and hold left control and click the red cross to close..it works for me ..good luck.

Does not seem to work for me. They still open based on last folder's open or closed s/p

This works but take time. Window opens minimized, strech it out full size, then click the square upper right to make full, officially. When you close use exit in the file tab.

Then type explorer in search, when it appears on the list, right click. Short cut and then maximized. Close the proper way for a while, it will remember. If you forget and close less than maximized it will remember that, too.

huh, that makes no sense (to me)

When not opened full size

Strech the window out to be full size

Then click the middle box upper right

In addition

Type explorer in search

When IE comes to the top

Right Click and go to properties

Under the shortcut tab you will see a choice of window sizes, choose maximum.

but I don't want it to be maximum. I want any particular folder to open where and size I want.
