Windows 7: Touchpad not working

When you tried Fn + F9, you are doing this, right? :



Holding the "Fn" Key, then Pressing the F9 key, then letting go of both. Then trying the mousepad.

Sorry for the delay, i had gone to bed

After i wrote the reply about the Mouse working in the Bios screen and system recovery options screen i just left it sitting there, but switched off when i went to bed.

I just switched on, and was going to try the Fn + F9 that you suggested again AND you will not believe this, but the Mouse is working, yet i had touched nothing

Well, all i can say is Thanks for your time & help.....it would have been nice to know what had caused it
