    Question about processor


    hi guys i have a question is my Processor : AMD athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 600+ 3.00 GHz good enough to support my NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX+?

    Well, I have an exact same graphic card, but an Intel CPU. Your CPU must support it, since the GPU supports both AMD and Intel CPU's.

    Please check agian the processor specs...
    Did you mean AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Processor - 3.0GHz, if so yes it will support the GeForce 9800 GTX as long as the motherboard will.

    I agree with Charbroil57, triple check that your motherboard supports both the CPU and the GPU. Otherwise, your CPU will be fine with the GPU.

    I think he is asking if the GPU will be bottlenecked by the CPU.

    That, unfortunately, I do not know how to answer, I still require a lot more knowledge on how CPU and GPU interact with each other. Although I doubt that it will bottleneck the GPU.

    If its this processor, then no it won't. 3.0Ghz is more than sufficient to handle whatever the GPU throws at it
