If it's a demanding game then; Lower resolution and higher settings, or vise versa... but I doubt he will need any specific adjustments.

thanks guy for the respond i have no idea whats wrong with my PC every time i put my PC on sleep it crashes it comes a bluescreen really fast and it restart does anyone know how to fix this error"?

Bluescreen, either BSOD, which I oddly doubt, or a virus... when a virus forcefully rebooted my PC, I had a blue flash. I cannot be sure in your case.

Or you could just run a scan... I told you, I wasn't sure if it was a virus, you don't need to reformat if you're uncertain. Just run a scan with a good AV, just in case.

first of all if you have a pci-e slot that lets the card be installed then no worries ussually if you have a slot on the board and you have a decent speed cpu it should work fine especially that being a older card

what you might want to do is up the card if you feel something is slowing you down especially with todays demanding games you can purchase a decent card with in the 99 to 130 dollar range that will be a better upgrade and run alot faster then the 9800gt

also if youre getting bluer screens might not be a virus might be compatability issues one of your components malfuntion during that certain command you should try a registry cleaner plus virus scan if there is no virus then it is a registry issue

if the registry program doesn't fix it then a disc repair would be the other option it will just fix the damage files with out reinstalling a clean os again try some of those first before trying to reinstall the os

one more note the card might be getting frozen cause memory and speed issues vs the cpu

@Amir57 I was just reading the specs on you're particular card it is a little more uhmpp then the 9800gt but i still suggest upgrading the card if you have had it for a while im not sure how long you had all you're components or when you upgraded anything but im sure upping the system couldn't hurt

One of the first things anyone should do on a Windows non-server computer is disable Automatic Reboots in the System Properties, so you can read and give us the details of the BSoD.

Secondly, to clear up some info, the motherboard determines support for the video card, but you also need to make sure your PSU can handle it as well. It has nothing to do with the processor, if compatibility is your question.

If performance is your question, then it depends on what you are doing, and what games you are playing, to determine the bottleneck.

yes Mr Decon frost has made a good point disable the boot type in Msconfig on the task bar it should somewhat be some use to disable certain boot properties

and the power supply unit aka psu would have something to do with it if it isn't working properly or providing the correct amps to supply the card or mainboard entirly that would cause reboots shut downs overheating ect im sure you get it ussually for todays standard atleast 500 to 550 watt is a standard for most pc's you can go lower but you would be bottlenecking yourself more power more options

and as i stated before games draw alot out of your gpu so look at the game specs cause somecards scrap the minimum but is hella slow even on a oc so i would look into that as well and also update any video drivers to the lastest if that doesn't work roll back to a older version that could make it stable non the less
