Windows 7 - Active window to front

| | Active window to front I have a small problem in vista if I used my media keyboard to open a program it would open but now, whilst browsing with firefox and im listening to media monkey and its on the taskbar in vista I could press the media player button on my keyboard and it would bring media monkey to the front, same if i press calc button now all they do is flash on the taskbar till I hover and click them can I bring this back somehow is this meant to be happening? |

Its a bug, Ive been having the same issues with all my applications. Microsoft doesnt want applications forcing themself into the foreground like pop-up adverts on your desktop and I guess they have been trying to solve a few issues Microsoft has had with SetForegroundWindow Function () since Vista and that unfinished code ended up in the RC  |

| | Try this, open Regedit and go ti the following location, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop look for "ForegroundLockTimeout, right click and select Modif, change the base to Decimal then set the value to 0. Log off and back on or reboot for the change to take affect. |

| | Hey stormy13, Thanks for the tip. After much testing i have discovered the issue is with the Logitech Set-Point Keyboard Shortcuts which i have created. If I launch the applications from the Start Button > All Programs > and launch those apps from there....they will pop up on the foreground. Not sure yr tip to edit the registry will do anything to correct this scenario....but i will give it a try.... Many Thanks |

Any particular reason why the "change the base to decimal" since 0 is 0 whether hex or decimal and the 0x0 format is not needed in this case. |
