If Im not mistaken, It shouldnt matter that the disc is the Ultimate.

When you put in your Key, it will know it is for Home Premium and set it up accordingly.

Here is one link describing what to do.

Just out of pure curiosity, why do you want Home Premium instead of Ultimate? If there is some advantage I don't know about I would love to hear what it is for future reference.

    Hi Wishmaster

Sorry you are mistaken, can be done with Vista, file ei.cfg needs to be removed first.

That makes sense. I thought we were talking about installing HP or a computer currently running Ultimate. Happy to help. Feel free to write back if there any problems with the install.

EDIT: I just remembered someone telling me that you can use a Home Premium key to activate Ultimate when using this method. I'll look around and tell you if I confirm this.

I was wrong. You do need to use Home Premium if that is all you have a key for. Not sure where I got the idea that a HP key would activate Ultimate. Sorry for any confusion I might have caused.
