Windows 7: Mongolian Cyrillic problems

Hello all,
I am currently using Windows 7 with Mongolian Cyrillic option enabled. However, when I try to search programs and files in cyrillic, garbled symbols show up (nevertheless search is completed):

A similar problem is also present in Wordpad, where there is no way to write in cyrillic without the same thing happening. The font automatically changes to Mongolian Baiti, which is not a cyrillic font, and there is no way to change to a different font. The problem doesnt exist in Office etc.

Help would be greatly appreciated, have been googling for 2 days without relevant things coming up!

1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Regional and Language Options.

2. On the Languages tab, select the Install files for complex script and right-to-left languages (including Thai) check box.

3.Click on Details.

4.On the Advanced tab, select the Extend support of advanced text services to all programs check box.

5.Click OK to dismiss the Text Services and Input Languages window.

6.Click OK to dismiss the Regional and Language Options window.

I dont have any fonts other than English installed, so cant post screenshots. It was for XP, so you have to digg somewhat more.

sorry for the delay in reply. I was trying in my friends computer (Hindi font installed). You said right, there is no such option comes in Win 7.
Presently I cant give you any solution, you can ask this question in Microsoft Answers forum. (You can refer to this thread, too.).
