    2 years old computer

My computer is a little over 2 years old and I have found out that around this time the Internet starts to screw up which it could be my ISP. The computer is just not doing well. I have worked on other peoples computer that was 3 to 7 years old and it was a disaster and I would tell them to just throw this computer in the trash because there is nothing you can use on it on your next computer which you need now. I do the regular tune ups and I take care of it with backups and so forth but I think I need a new computer or just re-install the OS, or just re-build the OS from scratch or is there a good software program that could do a major tune up. I always back up my C:\ before doing anything major. I have an Intel 6550 dual 2.33 which isn't a bad computer at this time. Any suggestions.
    Thanks
    Richard

If you are comfortable backing up all of your important files and doing a fresh install of windows, that would probably be the fastest and most successful at tuning your computer up.

The longer route that might not be as successful, is running anti-malware, anti-virus, defrag, disk cleanup, and other tools of that nature multiple times, as well as deleting files and folders you do not want/need anymore.

My suggestion : Move the important files you want to wherever you keep the backups, re-install Windows, restore the files you backed up, re-install whatever programs you use.

    Do what Kirsch suggests

But make sure you have extra room on your back up storage device for future programs :)

I think RC 1 is almost history and that is the reason for your prob's. It probably won't be any better if you reinstall the RC, it's time to bite the bullet and buy the real thing.

If, by some chance, you aren't running the RC1 anymore, and just didn't update your profile, then give us some examples of what you mean by "the internet is screwing up".

If you are running RC1, well, as others have said...time to buy the real thing.
