Unable to see Folders in Pendrive.

I am usubg Windows 7 home basic.
I am trying to copy some folders from my pen drive to desktop.
I have some problems while doing this task.

1.It ask permission each time while copying the folder.
( What settign have to made so it should not ask.)

2.from recent time I unbale to see folders of pendrive.
If I search by folder name in that pendrive then it shows but,
I open pendrive normally it doesnt shows folders ( just shows the file. )
Now same problem occurs while I am opning that pend drive
on another machine where I have installed XP.
It doesnt shows the folders too.

    What shoud I do ?

Hi Nilesh and welcome to the Forum
Are you logged into Windows 7 as an administartor? Can you post here a screenshot of what happens when you open the pendrive normally as you put it?

    Thanx...
Well, I havent create the Administrator account for Windows 7 yet.
But Is there any setting changed ....
I dont understand which screenshot I have to put ?
(Means It simply dont shows the folders and shows only the files.)
and Still the folders didnt show up on Windows XP OS too...

But after opning that pendrive, if I type the folder name in search box then it shows that folder.
    Whats going on ?

Seems like the folders in the pendrive are hidden and you have set the options to Not show hidden files.

In XP, goto Tools -> Folder Options -> View tab
and Select the "Show hidden files and folders" option.

In 7, click on the Organize button and select Folder and Search Options -> View tab
and Select the "Show hidden files and folders" option.

The reason its asking for permission everytime you copy is that the folders are already there in the pendrive (you can't see it because of the Show hidden files and folders option) and it has to overwrite them

I think you must have an administrator account on your PC. When you boot up do you have to click an icon with a name on it to continue the boot up?
Now to the screenshot. When you put the pendrive in the PC you should get a small window like the first screenshot below.
    Click on the circled option and that should open a window like the second screenshot below;
This is the one I mean. Can you make sure you get the bar at the top showing the path.

Ya... I follow the same procedure what you have mentioned here...
and I didnt need to click anyware for boot up...It directly shows the desktop...
And It shows the path of the pendrive too...

( I am more surprise beacuse, folders didnt seems on Windows XP too...
and Folder began to appear when I begins to type folder name in search box of windows 7....list appears...
I have tried to explore the Pendrive in command prompt too... it simply shows the files not the folders....)
