    Windows Explorer seems to hang


    opening Windows Explorer seems to hang, Left side shows Desktop, Libraries, Homegroup, the top bar scrolls the green.

    "<windows Key> - E" shows same results.


    restarting the WIA helps using these instruction
    Long delay before files appear in My Computer in Windows XP

    however, I do not have any of that hardware listed. I also do not have any USB drives plugged in.

    sfc /scannow did not report any errors
    Malwarebytes did not find any problems
    AVG did not find any problems

    I am running Windows 7 64bit Ultimate with 8GB ram, all windows updates are installed.
