Hey alright so heres the Deal if you Built your computer and are able to go into the Bios there is a Feature that declocks the cpu there for making it Slow as Balls.

when it comes to trying to start up programs and other such things and once there up and the cpu isnt being taxed at the right amount it goes back down to a declocked state.

so if you can turn off some of the features in your bios Do it!... i did that and windows 7 has been faster then i have ever seen ...

and i built my computer about 3 or 4 months ago and ill be damned if the retail version(what i have) is a piece of ****... Windows 7 AOC its on utorrent sites is the Fastest Newest version(i think its retail as what i meant above)

So i have not had any problems as of yet with new pc and if you are. Try shutting off some of the features of windows 7 Like Aero and stuff

but other then that its fast fast fast! .... IF your having graphical issues try upgrading your GPU to something more modern.

I would suggest things but i A dont know your pc and B dont know what it supports.

If you have any further Qs ill be glad to help

I've been using the Windows 7 beta for about three weeks. It's a little disappointing. Just like Vista, it has some cosmetic changes, but under the hood it's only running on three cylinders. It's just plain sluggish.

XP runs fast on my equipment and it does everything that I want it to do -quickly. I think that Microsoft just plain does not understand that many of us use our computers to do work. If our operating systems are bloated with crap and run like molasses it takes longer to do our work!!!

I am a network support engineer with hundreds of customers and it is extraordinarily rare for me to see Vista in a business or home environment. Unfortunately, I'm not expecting to see Windows 7 out there in the world much either.

Also, what is the point in moving and renaming common things in the OS so that in each version you have to waste time figuring out where they hid some particular thing? I am unable to figure out how any of the Vista or Windows 7 changes are anything but cosmetic, I'm not seeing anything that makes WORKING in the OS more efficient.

For me, speed and stability are really the only thing that I am looking for now. XP has it, Vista and 7 do not.

If anyone at Microsoft is listening I'm going to give them a hint. It needs to be faster! Faster! Faster!

I can appreciate non bloated software, but I can hack into any XP machine. How important is security to you? I guess if it isn't important than no need to worry about staying up to date with your software.

I have not had any issues after fixing the cpu Declock.. windows 7 has that feature In beaded into its system if they shut that off it will most likely fly !! and be super fast

Windows 7 IS better then vista trust me There is Not Competition between vista and windows 7

Win 7 is a million X better with, games,Software,Viruses(note),3D programs and other such programs that People may use.

Viruses As i have not Installed any Virus Protection software at all because i have never encountered one Yet i may not even need too. All anti Spyware or Virus Protection Software USES alot of system resources there for making Windows 7 Seem much slower then it actually is

If you have any Further Question Please dont hesitate to ask Im here to Help all Windows 7 Users

Beta was fast .. RC was a little slower .. and RTM crawls.
My neighbor is also complaining about this.

It doesn't bother me .. I also have XP

The latest craze in software development is to change the color .. move the tools around and convince the public it's new and they have to pay for it again.

Win 7 Beta 7057 way faster than the 7600

I'm having the same issues. I can not use the windows 7 final (build 7600) at all, cause I'm having real mad performance issues. And I'm using a fast machine with 2 quad core xeon and an nvidia quadro fx 5600 driver version 191.78. As soon as I want to move a window I got a delay of a second or something like that. Sometimes in the beginning of the movement, somtimes in the middle or whatever. Switching the programs is having the same mad effect. With my 3D software ist is the same. Inside the software, when using another panel I always got the delay. So it is impossible to work with that version of windows 7. Aero peek or whatever on and off didn't change anything.
The mad thing is, that my Beta build 7057 with the same driver and aero setup runs perfect. I'm so frustrated, cause I bought the final version and have to work with the beta. It is rediculous.

This is extremely easy to fix. What you are Experiencing is Intels new way to conserve power, by Declocking the cpu If you go into the Bios *Delete key while booting* or F5 or F6 Something like that. there should be something about stepping. TURN IT OFF. and your performance will come back.
