Can't display chinese and korean fonts

My com can't display chinese and korean fonts whenever I go into either website. and I also can't type Korean, chinese and japanese language anymore. I did go to Regional and language options
but the drop down menu DID NOT show these 3 language which I want and I try clicking the "install files for East Asian languages" but its need me to insert the CD. Is that anyway which I don't need to have the cd.
Is something like this when I go into korean website.

(is just only the title which didn't show the font)

I hope you will understand what I mean...

Use Windows Update to see if language packs are available.

    Hi there
There are some language packs for VISTA SP2 (Chinese and Korean) - don't know if these would work.

Actually I'm SURE I saw some chinese W7 language packs available.

    Cheers

Maybe you need to install some unicode FONTS?

Start here. IF you don't know where to go from there click here. After you download the CharisSIL font, open the windows font folder, hit ALT if you don't see "file" and then "install new fonts".

Did you already have that OS set up to switch between different languages? Can you "change keyboards" in the Language Options? It wont let you "ADD" any?

What I did was I searched "fonts" from the start menu and then clicked VIEW INSTALLED FONTS then FONT SETTINGS and then unchecked the HIDE FONTS BASED ON LANGUAGE SETTING. After that ii restarted my computer and when I checked my itunes (cause it has all the korean, chinese, japanese characters ii have from the songs) the characters were back. So far, I haven't had any problems with doing it this way but if there is...let me know! :)

displaying non-Roman fonts in Windows 7 (squares)

Hello ags, I followed your original advice, re: unchecking "Hide fonts" and I was thrilled when it worked! BUT, SUDDENLY MY FONTS HAVE ALL GONE BACK TO SQUARES! It must be the result of a recent "Windows Update" install, which "fixed" the loophole Do you have this problem now? If so, do you have a new solution to offer? Thanks! I just want to be able to DISPLAY FONTS IN OTHER LANGUAGES, not view my system in another language -- There is no reason for Microsoft not to allow this?
