    Forum Profiles: Multiple Systems

Is there an acceptable way to list more than one system in that section of my user profile? I want to list my laptop and my desktop. TNX

Hi!, OldDogEyes welcome to W7F :)

It would be difficult, unless you could keep them separate somehow.

You would have to preface the laptop features with laptop, and in turn the desktop with the desktop's features.

It would be nice if the system specs area was like a spreadsheet,
Then column A would be Laptop, and column B the Desktop.
You would still have to alert other members that are reading your post as to which system your asking about.

I didn't see anything in the rules/info about it.

But it is a good question. I'm going to see if one of the mods could move your post to the "General Discussion" forum because it would get better visibility there.

If the mods can move your post you will see a re-direct to it.

    Hi OldDogEyes,

It would make it confusing if both were listed - more so if both systems were laptops or desktops. What I would do is to list the system that you use on an everyday basis in your profile, and if you are asking a question about your other system, list its specs in the first post in the thread.

I note that you have a laptop and a desktop. In that case, list your specs for your desktop as normal and under Other Info state the make and full model number (including revision) of your laptop. You can also list the OS that it runs on there as well.

    It was me.

I've left him a VM so that he can find the thread.

Now that you mention it, what about the instant notifications like I recieved from the "Werid Ram Usage thread"

Will the other members go to the thread, and go HUH? or is that a non sequitur?
I think that's the right word.
