A problem with your video hardware caused Windows to stop working corr

Hi !

I have a new laptop (Asus K52JK ASUSTeK Computer Inc. - Notebooks - K52JK ) and I have installed Windows 7 ultimate.
the problem is that it freezes for some seconds, then it resumes and displays the following message: There was a problem with the video card but it was solved correctly. (or something like that). and it keeps going on as if nothing had happened.

The events manager says:
A problem with your video hardware caused Windows to stop working correctly.

I tried installing the drivers that came with the computer
I have tried updating the drivers to the latest from ATI webpage.
I have reinstalled windows and the drivers for the ATI 5000 series.
I have reinstalled windows and the drivers for the ATI 4000 series.
I have tried all that with Windows ultimate 64 bit and then x86 too.

And it keeps doing it.
Itīs completely random. It happened while using InDesing or while running a game or just using explorer. I have played Call of duty modern warefare 2 for more than an hour and it didnīt happen at all. another day I started the game and it happened twice in the menu screen (without even starting a game).
It also gives me some random red pixels anywhere on the screen, if you move the cursor it disapears, itīs completely odd.

I donīt know what else to do.

Also, I canīt install win XP cos it gives me an error during installation and I donīt know why.

I have attached the 3 temporal dump files in case it may help.

A friend of mine has the same computer. I have installed the same windows and the same drivers and she told me that it never happened to her.
Do you think it may be hardware ?

Do you have any idea of what else can I do ?

Thanks a lot, and thanks for your time.

You should probably bring it to the attention of Asus. It is possible the hardware is faulty.
