can you try the 8800 in another computer to verify it works?

ok, i will do that thank you, also i will install my ati x1950 pro, i think i can play with it some games. do i have to open a new thread to receive suggestions of a new card? the best single slot, is a good opportunity to upgrade my card lol.

my limitation is the space, so i searching for the best single slot card, i found ATI HD5770, but this is not available yet. Maybe on these days the stores will start to sell it. im not sure. I think is a good option to upgrade my card.

yesterday i put my x1950pro on my pc and was automaticly detected, after that i only installed the drivers and works fine, so im almost sure that my 8800 gt is dead, i will make a last test with another pc.

single slot i said, i not have enough space for a dual slot card.

if you can reccomend me other card that represent an upgrade from my dead 8800 gt it will be nice. for example i dont want a 9800 gt i want a better card if there is possible in single slot. thats why im thinking on this...

consider getting a GTX 460 instead of a HD 5770. I have HD 5770 and I can almost max out SC 2.
