    Cannot disable DirectDraw/D3D Acceleration

    Honored you,

first of all sorry for my bad english and sorry if I post this one to the wrong forum, but I don't really know that is this a video card or monitor or driver problem.

So I wanted to disable DirectDraw Acceleration in dxdiag. On winXP the method was:
    dxdiag to the Run...
    Display pane
In DirectX Features there was a button next to the DirectDraw acceleration to disable it.

Here is a picture about that:

But in win7 these Disable buttons ara not available for me:

There was another option to disable directdraw acceleration, but it is not available too.
    It was:

    It is now:

    I tried:
    - reinstall monitor driver
    - reinstall video card driver
    - disable Aero
    But didn't help.

My monitor is: Samsung SyncMaster 225MW on DVI port (1.0 driver, this is the only one available)
    Video card: GeForce 8800GT (185.85 win7 driver)
    I have 32bit win7 RC(7100)

Can anybody help me to disable directdraw accelaration?

    Thank you for your help!

    Pio

Why are you needing to disable DirectDraw?

To play some older games like panzer general.
DirectDraw acceleration must be disabled or the colors are mixed.
I done it on xp without problem , like that guy pio posted year ago.
It seems to be some driver problem.

    Bumb,

same problem. I can't get fallout 3 to work (without crashing every 5 minutes) and someone suggested turning of "AGP Texture Acceleration" Which is also un-editable as in the first picture...

    Please anyone?
