Windows 7: Syncmaster

Hi all having probs with my samsung syncmaster 245b it looks like a gamer problem but cant seem to get it right ati radion 5600 hd win 7 HP X64 I dont have any samsung software on just trying to use windows it looks like two much red ?? any ideas please all the best Dave

Hello jakobite. Is it a slight red, or like way too much red? Is it only on games, or on everything? Do you have the manual? There are several modes, and color adjustments.

Check out the color adjustment section if you haven't already played with them. Also, if you have CCC installed for the GPU, there should be color adjustments there as well. A Guy

jakobite Will you please fill in all your system specs for us? Knowing all your hardware might help us now and for possible later issues. Here's a couple of programs to help with that. Speccy - System Information - Free Download and another |MG| HWiNFO32 3.56 Final Download
If it were me and I couldn't adjust it out I would first suspect and try a different cable, if that didn't fix it I would concider it's something failing in the LCD.
I'd also try a system restore point that was before this started happening.

Hi as requested AMD phenom 955 3.20 Ghz x4 BE, Asus am3 mainboard, 5x 500 Gig seagate Barracudas SATA. 8 Gig DDR 3 Geil 1333 Mhz memory ATI Radion 5600 HD new dvi cable have tried the hdmi port to dvi same problem just tried to print screen but when i paste it into word it looks far worse than it is ? will try print screen to publisher later, Was Windows seven x 64 ultimate changed to windows seven x 64 HP just notice i have power iso installed and the icon that is pined to the task bar is very pixalated screen res 1920 x 1200 thx and all the best Dave

Hi all just tried both barrels from my browning and that has fixed it ???? will definitely have to buy a new one now.

Sounds like it's the monitor that is having problems. I'd call Samsung and ask for a replacement, or for it to be fixed. One on my friends bought a Syncmaster, and also had the red lines going across the screen. (Samsung told him that it was a defective screen)
