    HDMI Output?

I just bought myself a new Samsung 42 HDTV to use with my ATI Radeon HD 4350(?)

Question is, does my pc now output its graphics in HDMI, or only when i watch HD movies through it? I've looked and looked but no dice so i thought i'd ask you bunch of experts

Your PC outputs it's video signal via whatever cable is connecting the graphic card to the display. If you have it connected via HDMI then your PC is outputting the video via HDMI. HDMI is just the name of the interface. Whether you're watching HD movies or not, the signal is still being output through HDMI. Your PC doesn't output "HDMI". If it's connected with HDMI, then it outputs in "digital" as HDMI is a digital interface.

Sorry, I should have clarified what i meant better.

The card is connected to my TV through a HDMI cable. What I wanted to know was can i view windows itself in HD?
The more i think about it, the more it sounds like a stupid question, so apologies if that is in fact the case!

As long as you resolution is set to 1280x720 or higher you are already viewing in HD

    Ah ok.

Cheers for answering the stupid questions then guys. I'm not with this HDMI thing at all. If i plug the cable in, it should work, no arguments! xD
