GTX465/470 Fan at 82RPM

Hello forum!

*WARNING: Wall of text Incoming*

As you may have guessed, i have a problem with my Unlocked GTX 465/470
When i got the card i unlocked it to a GTX 470, So i did not really use it while it was a 465 so i do not know if this is a problem with the unlock or the card.

This happens Randomly i may just be playing a game or browsing the internet, but it will randomly reduce the fan speeds down to 82RPM, which when gaming gets the card to 110*c, once it gets there ONLY that card will shut off, which means my left monitor which is on my 9800GT still works and i can move the mouse around. That is how i can see the temperature

I have tried this with 2 Different BIOS' a Generic NVIDIA GTX 470 one and an EVGA GTX 470 Super overclock one, both with the Same Problem.

I have Just Emailed Leadtek asking if they will send be a copy of the Original GTX 465 Bios, Whether or not they will give it to me is a different Question If anyone out there has a copy of the Bios Could you please upload it and Link me to it. I would Greatly Appreciate it. The reason i need a copy is i forgot to back it up Which means i cant RMA it. And that i what i think i may have to do.

So far i have tried different fan control software (Nvidia Performance, MSI Afterburner, and EVGA Precision) I have also Set a Static fan speed of 100% and it still happens. Any Help would be Greatly Appreciated.

TLDR: I need a new GPU BIOS!!

Thanks,
Braydon

Have a look on here for some BIOS files ReMOSitory :: mvk.tech :: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 470 465 460 ATI Radeon HD 5970 5870 5850 5830 :: MVKTech :: On the Edge of Technology

Seems to be a few GTX465 BIOS files on there, but not a Leadtek one.

Have you tried with just the fan at stock settings? Without using any programs like Precision, Afterburner etc?

Just got this form Leadtek:
Quote:
Dear Sir
Please provide us the warranty number we added on your VGA card like "Lxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" for reference. We also would like to know why you need a BIOS copy for your GTX465.
The information we require from you as above may be helpful to make our product manager to release the BIOS image to you.
What should i say?
