I am so happy! All you have to do is installing DirectX9 and then DirectX 8. Windows 7 will then install old XP driver and even Omega Drivers without any problem or BSOD Omg I am so happy, after 20 hours of googling and trying... YES!

Hello from way oft into the future. I was able to get this card working on Vista x64 by using the Catalyst v6.4 drivers for Windows XP x64 Edition. Versions 5.13 to 6.4 work (no Aero of course) but 6.5 and up result in a BSOD on shutdown.

You might try the same on Windows 7.

    Hi jerupiga:

Yes that's precisely what he means. Now those profiles will not be commented out, and your card should be detected. Interestingly though, I guess the x86 version of Vista supported more ATI devics with XDDM drivers. My atixpag.inf file only includes the 9000 series drivers (about six or seven of them) and I'm on x64. I've shown mine below.

    [Manufacturer]
    %ATI% = ATI.Mfg, NTamd64

    [ATI.Mfg.NTamd64]
    "RADEON 9000U Family (Microsoft Corporation - XDDM)" = ati2mtag_RV280, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_5962
    "RADEON 9000U SEC Family (Microsoft Corporation - XDDM)" = ati2mtag_RV280, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_5942
    "RADEON 9200 LE Family (Microsoft Corporation - XDDM)" = ati2mtag_RV280, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_5961
    "RADEON 9200 LE SEC Family (Microsoft Corporation - XDDM)" = ati2mtag_RV280, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_5941
    "RADEON 9200 SE Family (Microsoft Corporation - XDDM)" = ati2mtag_RV280, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_5964
    "RADEON 9200 SE SEC Family (Microsoft Corporation - XDDM)" = ati2mtag_RV280, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_5D44
    "RADEON 9250 (Microsoft Corporation - XDDM)" = ati2mtag_RV280, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_5960
    "RADEON 9250 Secondary (Microsoft Corporation - XDDM)" = ati2mtag_RV280, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_5940

Dear Friends I found the solution, you don't need to do nothing, all you need to do is install the driver using the device manager. (Device manager, update driver ....)
My desktop restart and shutdown without any problems and the resolution of the screen is good

The sevenforums don't let me put the link of download, so in the PDF file you can find the link.
