    Generic Non-Pnp Monitor problem please help


    Hi everione i have a problem i have aSapphire Radeon HD 5670 Ultimate 1GB Video Card connected to a LCD monitor 22"w E -line-220E1SB1/00 and i have the latest ati drivers for my video card, my windows 7 ultimate 64 bit is up to date too but wen i try to obtain the 1920 x 1080 it says that my max rezolution is 1600x 1200...and at display it says 1.Generic Non-Pnp Monitor...i tried to fix the problem using the Pheonix solution posted on seven forum but i didn't manage to fix anythyng...please help me...i really need some help....

    Hey mate. Have you tried this tutorial? I wasn't sure if this was the solution you were talking about.

    Force DVI/HDMI resolutions and refresh rates

    Yeah that is the tutorial but i don't know how tochange the EDID settings to reflect my display's true capabilities...Thx for the fast reply i apreciate it.

    have you tried going into device manager and manually changing the driver like this?

    Nop i didn't work i didn't seem to find the exact model but i installed a 22 inch monitor and the max rezolution is even lower

    Hi Tews tried to find the driver for my monitor but didn't find anything... i am really desperate( i dunno wat to do(...thx alot u guys for the fast replys

    i googled for that before my first post and couldnt find any on the website, but the page said it was vista compatible

    yes on the monitor box it says windows vista compatible
