Windows 7: Flaky Dual Monitor: 8800GT, WHQL 258.96

Flaky Dual Monitor: 8800GT, WHQL 258.96

upgraded to the latest WHQL driver and dual monitor is flaky.

After I first updated my 2nd Monitor (DVI-->HDMI TV) could not be detected at all.

TVs can some times be flaky through HDMI. I tried swaping the DVI connector with my NEC monitor.

Now my NEC monitor couldn't be detected at all.

So I did a driver rollback and I got both working again. Upgrade again and I sometimes have two monitors.

My NEC is tagged as my primary (though the TV is the one that gets DOS screen boot info)

If I boot with both on, It actually starts up with everything on my NEC main monitor, but as everything settles, it turns off my main and transfers all my icons to the TV. If I fire up NVidia Control it turns both back on then I am OK till next boot.

If I boot with the TV off, my NEC works, if I turn on the TV, everything transfers to the TV and NEC goes OFF.

Anyone else see weird issues with WHQL 258.96 and dual monitors? Especially if you don't boot them together all the time?
