    window 7 fps video mem

i reciently built a 1090T system with nvidia 470 card. 16 gig mem.

my problem is with haven bench mark is not that good with ave 45fps in games i crash a lot back to desk top. it comes up with error that wanted 2meg mem not aviable. looking at adapter i find it has 2g on board and 2g shared report says out of memory but still has 14gig aviable how do i over come this and can i set shared to different value. this is also happning on my other machines x 4's with 8 gig memory. fps on all machines run around 10 to 17 fps if i turn down resolution to about 1400 900 monitor is hanns-g 28" on all machines

Maybe your motherboard has 2 PCI-E slots, however one of them may be 16x and the other may be like 4x. If so, have you tried to put the video card in the other slot?

    video card nvadia gtx 479

mother board msi 890fx-gd70 pcie slot i have double checked on slots i actually have 5 computers with this problem except rest are x4 instead of x6 all video cards are 260 to 470 so not thinking this is prob still think it has to do with shared mem because of report on crash trying to get 2gig and not aviabile only happens in world of warcraft so far but lots of screens are slowwwww

Out of memory errors in most cases have to do with the pagefile? You didn't happen to disable it did you?

Asf or that "shared" memory, no you can not change it,

    page file

i did change page file by doubling amount to see if that would help but it did not help and didnt change file on other computers. as for shared mem that would solve it all if i could make it larger with 16 gig aviable and win 7 only using 1 and 3/4 gig got enought to play with

as of 9/13 had change in system. seems as if fps was a 2ndary problem and had nothing to do with game crashing. it is now fixed but still have game crashing in world of warcraft. and still get message that not enough memory. any ideas?

If the same problem is happening on 5 different computers, I think it's something to do with a setting you're changing, or something you're installing.

The only time I've ever seen that message is when I disabled the page file 5 or 6 years ago, like what stormy said.
