Will this fit ?

I have an ATI Radion 4350 in this computer: FRYS.com*|*Hp (it came with it) and I was wondering will this ATI Radion 5770 fit in the case ? Amazon.com: Sapphire Radeon HD 5770 1 GB DDR5 2DVI/HDMI/DisplayPort PCI-Express Video Card 100283-3L: Electronics

Note: This is the XFX version but that series should all be identical to the ATi reference card.

Dimensions (Imperial) - 8.5 X 4.376 X 1.5
Dimensions (Metric) -17 x 11 x 1.9, 21.6 X 11 X 3.8

From: Graphic Cards - ATI Radeon HD 5000 - ATI Radeon

Too wide. It looks like you'll need slightly more than 2" of space lengthwise than the old one takes up and double the width.

The 4350 from XFX is the following:

Dimensions (Imperial) - 6.6 x 2.73 x 0.75
Dimensions (Metric) - 16.8 x 6.93 x 1.9

From: Graphic Cards - ATI Radeon HD 4000 - ATI Radeon

Fixed, since stormy13 caught a big mistake on my part.

Removed post, see post of stormy13 below.

Did not know there was a low profile HD4350 and your pc has only a 220W power supply.

To answer the original question no it won't, that computer is in a slim case and will only take low profile cards. Unless you plan on moving everything to a bigger case, you're stuck with low profile cards only.

HP Pavilion Slimline s5360f Desktop PC Product Specifications HP Pavilion Slimline s5360f Desktop PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English)

Quote:
Computer CaseSlimline
  • Height: 30.2 cm (11.87 inches)
  • Width: 10.5 cm (4.1 inches)
  • Length: 38.9 cm (15.3 inches)
profdlp you were on the right track, but highlighted the wrong dimension.

P.S. Jacobe you would also need a new power supply as the 250W listed in the specs is nowhere near enough for the 5770, or any other card that requires an extra connection to the power supply. Also means a new case as standard sized ATX power supplies do not fit in slim cases.

Without replacing your power supply, you probaly have the best one now.
If you were to replace your power supply Sapphire makes a low profile 5770 single slot card. Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100293L Radeon HD 5570 1GB 128-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Low Profile Ready Video Card
Other low profile choices are Newegg.com - low profile vidoeo cards

For a power supply for anything other than the video card that your computer came with, no as the ones that size just don't come powerful enough,

This another one of those cases (no pun intended) where an OEM computer manufacturer locks you into only being able to upgrade by buying a new system hopefully from them.
It's a sneaky bad practice in my eyes anyways.

So in order now to upgrade your system your looking at a new GFX card, power supply and case.

1. Inexpensive cases with 500w power supplies 500W Mid-Tower Computer Cases, PC Cases, Custom Computer Cases, Cool Computer Cases at TigerDirect.com

2.Now you can choose from a non low profile card, which XFX makes a single slot 5770 Newegg.com - XFX HD-577X-ZMF3 Radeon HD 5770 1GB 128-bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity
If your board could handle a dual slot card you could actually get a GTS 450 Fermi for less Newegg.com - EVGA 01G-P3-1452-TR GeForce GTS 450 (Fermi) Superclocked 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card 72 hr special ending 9/19 $129.99
So we're looking at $129.99
Case and 500w PSU for $49.99 to $89.99
Plus shipping and tax if applicable.

So in ending somewhere between $180.00 plus tax and shiping to $220.00 plus tax and shipping.

Of course your options going this way open up concederably. I'd keep my eye on sales from Newegg and Tigerdirect for case and power supply combos and, well your still going to have the single slot card limitation.
Just tossing some ideas out their. good luck. Fabe
