    PC & HDTV VIDEO distortion

I have a XFX 5750HD video card connected to a 46" Samsung 1080p LCD HDTV via HDMI. I also have a 22" Samsung LCD Monitor connected to the same video card via DVI.

The desktop image is crisp on both the Monitor/HDTV and everything runs very well until I watch a video. When I start a video of any kind (.avi .mkv .mpeg) it's "distorted" on BOTH display devices. You can see faint angular squigly lines running down the image/video. It's not enough to stop watching but I was hoping someone here might be able to guide me in the right direction!

Just to clarify, the distortion only occurs within the Video Player... the desktop itself is crisp.. when I shrink the window to see both the video and desktop I only see distortion in the player and nowheres else.

    Thanks!
    Eric

Hi, are both on or is only one on have you tried unplugging 1 then the other to see what happens?
Is the desktop set as clone or extended?

I solved the problem by changing a setting with the VLC media player. I set Deinterlacing to Auto rather then disabled... seems to have made all the difference!!

Windows Media Player still has the same problem but I'm happy with VLC
