Intel 82865G Not Functioning Properly in Windows 7 Ultimate (32-bit)

Hi, I am Abdul Basit from Pakistan,
I recently bought a new Pentium 4 PC (about 6 months ago) from now, and it had Windows XP SP2 installed, A cousin of mine suggested me to install Windows 7, because it's faster than Vista and XP, Therefore I did a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit by formatting my C:\ drive;
Then after I installed Win 7, everything seems to be working correctly except the Intel 82865G integrated graphics controller, then, I installed the driver of Windows 2000 and I'm having problems playing DVDs and other video formats including mpeg and avi formats, When I try to Play a DVD in Windows Media Player 12 or PowerDVD 9, it displays a blue screen of death (BSOD), and then the system restarts by itself. After proper investigation of this problem, I came to find out that a friend of mine had the same Intel 82865G Graphics Controller, and he was running Windows Vista SP2, and there were no problems in playing DVDs and videos, the driver it had installed was displayed as "Intel (R) 82865G Graphics Controller (Microsoft Corporation - XDDM)" in Vista's Device Manager. According to my friend, it is pre-installed in Windows Vista, and is also publicly available, I googled it for almost a week on the internet but couldn't find the Vista driver, this driver is dated as 2006 but the one which I have is dated as 2005.
Could you please upload the Vista driver for
"Intel (R) 82865G Graphics Controller (Microsoft Corporation - XDDM)" from the Vista Install CD or somewhere? I could not find it anywhere on the internet, please upload it fast, because I need it very much!

You should be able to get the Intel video drivers through Windows Update.

You may find this informative:

Graphics — Older Intel® graphics controllers and Microsoft Windows 7* operating system

The latest XDDM drivers that I find at Intel are:

You may have to use a compatibility mode to persuade them to install under Windows 7. (The same should have applied under Vista.)

That's why I suggested using Windows Update. There's no messing around with compatibility or what not. It will download the drivers that are tested to work, and install them for you.

Thanks for the replies, but I already tried these suggestions and still they're not the Vista drivers.
I meant to say that there should be a Vista-compatible driver named "Intel (R) 82865G Graphics Controller (Microsoft Corporation - XDDM)" on the internet, or it had been removed by someone, if you find this driver, please give a valid link to it.

That's the one Microsoft supplies....through the disc and Windows Update.

Unfortunately, it seems that this driver is not available on the Microsoft Update Catalog. Since your friend has Vista SP2 installed, I would suggest using something like the lite version of Driver Magician on his computer, extract the Intel 865 driver and then use that on your PC or alternatively, use the XP Drivers provided from the Intel website.

Hi, I had just installed the Win XP drivers, and they have installed fine. But now the DVD movies won't play, when i try to play one, it gives an error message in blue screen and then on that blue screen the last line says "Dumping Physical Memory to disc", after that the system restarts by itself.
What is the reason for this problem? How can I solve it? Please Help! I cannot live without DVDs!
Here's a screenshot of 'dxdiag.exe' properties window of the graphics driver (I have uploaded it)
