is this possible to do? i know this is a tad of a bland post and im just wondering how i would go about enabling crossfire without CCC installed (as it seems to be causing BSOD's on my system).
any help is much appreciated :)
To be honest, I have no idea. Nor can I find any documentation on it.
If you have both cards, there is no harm in trying it.
If you have drivers for both installed, then hopefully the system will recognize it, but I would guess you need CCC.

I would think that to run crossfire you would need CCC t enable it. Then again I'm not an ATI guy so I couldn't say for sure.
Atleast this will get it bumped up in the section so maybe an ATI member will be able to offer a more defenitive answer.

well thanks for the replies guys, i guess its gonna comedown to some third party software if i really didnt want catalyst installed, however the latest catalyst build has resulted in any bsod's on my system, so who knows :)

thats why you should use 10.9 first and you will need the ccc for crossfire you could try another method but i doubt it will work so well there are alot of forum readers here that have a crossfire set up
Im pretty sure one or two will answer this call just have to be patient someone will come around but defently i would use 10.9 with the ccc to enable the corssfire with the crossfire band
