New hd 6870 performance vs my old hd5770

Ok finally I got my hands on a diamond radeon hd6870 so now i am here to show you some of the test results My hd 5770 was oc'ed and I did a slight up clocking of this card but not much this is what i got

Also i do not have the MLAA feature activated yet I have the hotfix but the files for the hot fix doesnt match what is in the batch folder but thats another issue so here it is and by the way this card runs so much smother and really low noise and the temps are pretty damn good 67c after the stress test

    Congrats mate!.

HD 6870 is sure one hell of a card. I almost ordered one right after release, but instead got a sick sick deal on my current ASUS GeForce GTX 470 (let's just say that it cost me around ~5% more than that of the retail price of a brand new GTX 460 1GB ).

Thanks for the post I've been trying to decide between the 2 myself as soon as my Xbox360 sells.

@Solarstarshines: I know you probably already know this but it's not the watts as much as the volts on the +12v rail(s) that matters. Just keep that in mind. when you buy as well as keeping it around the 80% efficiency rating.

Between the HD 6870 and GTX 470?

    It's as simple as this:

    - Performance wise, the GTX 470 is faster (in most cases), but not by much (less than ~%5).
    - Heat/Noise/Power Consumption all goes in favor of the HD 6870.
    - GTX 470 has better raw tessellation performance.
    - GTX 470 is shorter.

    That's pretty much it.
