| | sapphire 6870 temps Is it normal for a 6870 to have an average of 84-86C temp under full load? Air flow seems to be good inside case. Checked some benchmarks and noticed that others have an average of 65-75. Should I worry about anything? |

| | well i would chalk it up to how the air is flowing through the case and do you have enough fans in postion to make it cooler besides its own fan my hd5770 never got that hot but close my 6870 is like 10 to 15 degrees cooler than my 5770 |

| | Furmark  , but I ran it in windowed mode, low res, without any AA, fps 100+ didn't seem to cause any pressure on the gpu. |

| | same temps even on highest settings, doesn't go over 86 once, bounces between 84 and 86.. maybe its sapphires soft fan profile, didnt notice it go over 33% |

Having said that, I'd recommend setting up a custom fan profile for that HD 6870 of yours using MSI Afterburner. | | Tried MSI Afterburner, it was quite familiar since I was a rivatuner user in the past.. created just a little bit more aggressive fan profile, lost 12C on the average. |
