    a problem with GTX 9800

    GTX 9800 very big problem

i posted here my issue but i didnt get some help that really helped me
so now i repost about this with some new questions

you can see what kind of computer i have and the problem i receive .. i formated C , reinstalled windows 7 and updated it .. still same problem .. i took it to a repair shop but they told me grafic card is "broken" and i need a new one but i do not trust them because they like to make profit .....

my question : what could be the problem that the grafic card is showing, how to fix it , and is there some kind of shortage in requirments or if some of of the stuff i got in my pc is not supporting with the card and is causing it to malfunction .
can someone tell me please :) thank you

have you checked the warranty on the card? you might be able to get a replacement.
I wouldn't assume they say it's broken just to make a profit, they don't make that much money on it :) as someone else mentioned, the fact that it's displaying "freaky" signs during boot tells me the card itself is busted. check the card for "popped" transistors and make sure the card slot is clear of dust and other filth. then try to reseat.

it would help if you had a friend with a gfx card, so we can rule out motherboard issues.

you should think about getting a new power supply regardless of wether or not the PSU has anything to do with this. they're not that badly priced nowadays, and it's better if you want to upgrade in the future.

first stop though, find someone with a card you can borrow to rule out motherboard..second, check the warranty on your card and arrange a replacement if you can :) hope this helps..

there are missplaced squares , booting starts .
nothing is clear , everything has missplaced squares
This means the card is fried and you need another one

i cant find a GTX card anywhere .. noone has one
    waranty is gone

the PC is in the repair shop and they put different grafic card in and say the PC works just fine but they didnt put my card in a different PC to see what will happen . and where i live they will tell you to get a new one just to make a profit ( its that kind of a country ... sadly )
also the guy fixing up my PC didnt seem to know much about this kind of problem so he just said to replace it because it "broken" .

    any other suggestions ?

find a different repair shop :) interesting that they didn't try your card in a different machine, but i must say that the most likely thing here is a broken card. From how you've explained it, with the added comments from other people and the repair shop.

Christmas is coming up, maybe Santa will get you a new one?
Sorry I can't be of more help. Best of Luck

well i went to the repair shot yesterday and decided to get a new grafic card
they gave me some options .. and for now i decided not to go for something EXTREME so i took a GTS 240 1GB

i will have the PC on friday so now im worried about 1 thing
    is the PSU enough ?
its 460W real power Cooler Master
i dont want to see this problem on my PC ever again .. or i might just break the computer case accidentally .. xD
the 9800 is on the path of getting broken 200% so there isnt anything i can do with uit
