    Native Res Doesn't Appear

    hey guys,
bought a new u460 laptop, and after a day or so installed tune up utilities. after it "optimized the system" the graphics changed to 800x600 with the max option to switch to 1024x768. (native is 1366 x 768)
i have no idea if it was random or linked to the program, but i don't really know what to do now. geforce 305m driver is installed, thought of maybe finding the screen driver.
    any ideas would be appreciated.

Have that tuneup program undo whatever it was that it did. If that restores it back to how it should be then uninstall that program and don't use it again.

If it doesn't fix it do a system restore to the last restore point before you installed that program, and then do not install the tuneup program.

Those things are usually more trouble than they are worth. If you think you want to tinker, take a good look through our tutorial section,

Next would be to re-install the video driver,

Lenovo Support - Drivers & Downloads

which if your laptop has one of the Intel i3 or i5 CPU's with integrated video, then install both the Intel and Nvidia driver (install the Intel first).

nothing worked, luckily lenovo has some onetouch recovery software, so i literally went back to factory settings. lost a lot of stuff, but i guess u cant have it all.
i want to kill tune up. wonder where i could post to let people know about this. if im not mistaken, my system started going slower as well, and some functions stopped working.

As far as most tuneup or tweaking type programs go, you would be preaching to the choir as most here do not use them and advise most that want to use one not too.

new sos. after a while when i preformed a restart, the resolution snapped back to 800x600 with max option for 1024x768. i noticed the screen name changed to Default Monitor. i think what i might need is a screen driver, how do i get the proper one for the u460?
not certain anymore this has to do with the tuneup.
