Reviews are being published now; just read a dam good review on both the 6950 and the 6970 from XFX here.

Another on the Sapphire 6970 can be read here.

Nvidia's GTX 570 is out performing the 6970 so we will have to wait for the 6990 cards early next year to see if ATI whooops, AMD is going to go after the top spot again, but for now the 580 is the KING.

hello, AMD Radeon HD 6950 to HD 6970 Mod | techPowerUp I am wondering if flashing a gigabyte 6950 to becmome a 6970 is safe? i suppose it would be safe, as its still technically a stock 'clock' as far as i know its unlocking a partion of locked shaders. but would it void the warranty.
