Resolution reverting to 640x480

Hello

Yesterday my resolution started reverting to 640x480 randomly.
I started my computer, and the login screen was HUGE. I log in to my account and put the settings back to its native 1680x1050. Using the quick account switcher utility the resolution remains, but when you get to the actual login screen (where all the users are listed) the resolution goes back to 1680x1050.

I tried rebooting, and updating the driver but it didn't help.

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce 7800 GTX
Driver: 260.99 (258.96 prior to upgrade, not a major upgrade really)

edit: Solved
Turns out I had enabled the option "simple graphics" (dunno exact english trans.) in msconfig by accident. Disabled that and it works now. At least I got a driver update, lol.
