| | Unable to use TV as standalone display I'm having trouble with my new HTPC. The specs are: Athlon X2 4600+ GIGABYTE GA-M57SLI-S4 2GB DDR2 800 MSI 8800GT OC (185.85 for Windows 7 64 bit) Windows 7 RC 64 bit TV is an older Samsung 47" HDTV. Supports 480i, 480p and 1080i. I have it set to 480p. The problem I'm having is with the TV out. I have the TV set as the primary display but when I disconnect the monitor or remove the monitor in the nvidia control panel my tv screen will go black with little lines running horizontally. If I reconnect the monitor the display will show up correctly on the tv again. When I try to run a game (the only one I have tried so far is Lego Indiana Jones) the tv will go black with horizontal lines. If I alt - tab to get back to windows it goes back to normal and I can see the screen again. I'm using the pigtail and component cables. Does anyone have a clue as to what could be going on? |
