The more and more I think about it the better the 6950 looks, especially from a price point. Right now I'm still using a 4890 and haven't been hindered with the games I've played on it so I really have to ask myself if I want to spend that much on a 6970.

I still have some time to think about it though. Anyway I'm looking forward to tw33k's posts
    Same here :)

I am considering the 6950 myself, but putting it off a bit longer as I want a Sapphire Toxic or Vapor-X. (just my prefered brand)

Cant complain about the 4890, its been a heck of a good card.

    Tw33k,
What kind of numbers & Temps are you getting at its stock settings?

I ran 3dMark11 on both "Performance" and "Extreme" settings at stock speed (880/1375)

I also ran both again with the card OCd to 900/1400 but Extreme crashed. I'll play some more but my CPU is holding it back at max settings.

    Nice, TY.

Thinking I may pick up on of these.
Also considering Nvidias offerings for a change, but not sure it would be worthwhile.

Thanks guys. I'm running into major problems OCing it tho. I know it's my CPU that's causing the problem but I'm reluctant to upgrade just yet. I think I'll leave it as is and wait til "Bulldozer" is out. Then I can upgrade my board, CPU and RAM. My system is fine the way it is. I'm just trying to squeeze too much out of it I think.

Have you actually played any games with the card? If so, what were they? What were the results?

    Thanks.

    I've only been playing BC2. 2048x1152, medium settings, 2x AA, avg ~90fps

That looks sweet! But I would agree with Slacker at 90fps you can afford to crank it up some and not suffer.
