    Windows 7 Resolution Problem

    Hi
I installed windows 7 home premium 32-bit in my
    computer.
Everything seemed to work fine except the
    screen.
My screen is 17'' medion screen.
The computer zooms the screen in and makes
    it to small..
Everything i'm doing doesn't fit in the screen.
When i try to change the Screen resolutions it
    says :
You can't change this settings because the
height of your display is less than 600 pixels..

I didnt know the specs, So heres a website with the specs.
Dell Dimension 2400 Specs (Pentium 4 2.66 GHz, 512 MB RAM, 120 GB HDD) - Desktops - CNET Reviews

Everything is untouched on the computer except I installed 2G of ram and a extra internal hard drive, and a dvd burner.

Dell only has XP drivers for your model.

So go here and get the latest video driver and any others that will be updates. http://downloadcenter.intel.com/
Then click "Run Intel Driver update Utility" top left of page.

This will search for the right drivers for your system.

    1. Does the resolution say 1024 x 768 or what?
    2. Are you sure you have the correct driver for that screen?

That's not good enough. What about the driver? Sounds like you are running on a generic driver.

I suggest you run the Windows7 Upgrade Advisor and see what it says about your graphics/monitor.

Click the button and let it find them. If you get a pop up to allow then click allow or download.
