If you can find one the GeForce 7600GT was the best card the 4600i can run its been one of the upgrades spoken about in the DELL Desktop Community Forum. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number DELL XPS Studio 435T OS Vista 64 Ultimate, Windows 7 64 Ultimate, Ubuntu 9.10 CPU i7 975 3.3 GHz Extreme (Factory OC'd to 3.6 GHz) Motherboard DELL provided Memory 18 Gb Tri-Channel 1066 Graphics Card ATI 5970 2048 Mb Sound Card X-Fi Extreme Gamer Monitor(s) Displays Vizio 37" HD-TV Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Keyboard Logitech Performance K350 Wireless Mouse Logitech Performance MX Wireless PSU DELL Provided 475 watts Case DELL Cooling 3 fans Hard Drives 1.5 Tb HDD

thanks for the reply, had a look on the Dells forum (thanks for the heads up )
So had a nosey on tinternet From £50 for a inno3d type upwards and evilbay £164.99 for the nvidia 7600 agp, there is cheaper priced ones if you import from USA or Hong Kong ect but dont want to go down that road been stung in the past.
My next question will be whats the difference between the inno3d geforce 7600 and the Nvidia geforce 7600, well apart from they are labelled up differently and they both use the same chip ect ect | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell 4600i OS Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit CPU Northwod pentium 4, 2.80ghz Motherboard Dell motherboard E210882 rev.A00 Memory 4 gig P3200 Graphics Card standard vga, agp x8 PSU WinPower ATX 600W PSU Hard Drives Barracuda 7200.7 : ST380011A 80 GB hd,

Not familiar with inno3d but here's an example I can answer. I had the ATi HD5870 in my sight when an XFX HD5870 XXX Edition came on the radar. When I looked at the spec's they both obviously had ATi's engine and works but the XFX was OC'd and is guaranteed for life, for $5.00 difference in price if it were simply the OC I obviously can do this with CCC but the lifetime warranty that is transferable was worth $5.00. I know MSI, XFX and others do things like OC the cards, add better coolers, more RAM etc. so you would have to toggle over to the inno3d website and see how the specs add up. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number DELL XPS Studio 435T OS Vista 64 Ultimate, Windows 7 64 Ultimate, Ubuntu 9.10 CPU i7 975 3.3 GHz Extreme (Factory OC'd to 3.6 GHz) Motherboard DELL provided Memory 18 Gb Tri-Channel 1066 Graphics Card ATI 5970 2048 Mb Sound Card X-Fi Extreme Gamer Monitor(s) Displays Vizio 37" HD-TV Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Keyboard Logitech Performance K350 Wireless Mouse Logitech Performance MX Wireless PSU DELL Provided 475 watts Case DELL Cooling 3 fans Hard Drives 1.5 Tb HDD

As it seems like a standard case, I would suggest a Radeon HD 4650 or 4670. You can still find these on Newegg with the AGP Interface. The HD 3450 you had picked out would also work though I only make the HD 4650 or HD 4670 recommendation as they provide better performance. The HD 4650 also runs easily on weaker power supplies such as the 250W PSU your PC has. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 CPU Intel Core i3 530 2.93 Ghz Clarkdale Motherboard ASRock P55 PRO/USB3 LGA 1156 Memory 4 GB OCZ DDR3 1600 (PC12800) Low Voltage Desktop Memory Graphics Card Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti with 1 GB of RAM Sound Card Realtek HD ALC892 Monitor(s) Displays 20'' eMachines E202HDbmd Glare Panel Widescreen Screen Resolution 1600 x 900 Keyboard Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop Elite Mouse Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop Elite PSU Rosewill Xtreme Series RX750-D-B ATX12V v2.2 & EPS12V (750W) Case Cooler Master Centurion 534 RC-534-KKN2-GP Mid-Tower Cooling Standard Case Fans and Stock CPU Heatsink Hard Drives Western Digital 1 TB Caviar Black Edition (7200 RPM) SATA

His spec's show he has a 600W PSU so I don't think his power is an issue just not sure the other cards are supported but I'm sure he could return it if that were the case just be sure there is no restock fee for doing so..... | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number DELL XPS Studio 435T OS Vista 64 Ultimate, Windows 7 64 Ultimate, Ubuntu 9.10 CPU i7 975 3.3 GHz Extreme (Factory OC'd to 3.6 GHz) Motherboard DELL provided Memory 18 Gb Tri-Channel 1066 Graphics Card ATI 5970 2048 Mb Sound Card X-Fi Extreme Gamer Monitor(s) Displays Vizio 37" HD-TV Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Keyboard Logitech Performance K350 Wireless Mouse Logitech Performance MX Wireless PSU DELL Provided 475 watts Case DELL Cooling 3 fans Hard Drives 1.5 Tb HDD

Sorry, was basing myself off the standard specs for a Dell 4600i from their website. Missed the specs. Thanks for pointing that out. Then in that case, I'd recommend the HD 4670 as it will probably provide you with the best performance with the AGP interface. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 CPU Intel Core i3 530 2.93 Ghz Clarkdale Motherboard ASRock P55 PRO/USB3 LGA 1156 Memory 4 GB OCZ DDR3 1600 (PC12800) Low Voltage Desktop Memory Graphics Card Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti with 1 GB of RAM Sound Card Realtek HD ALC892 Monitor(s) Displays 20'' eMachines E202HDbmd Glare Panel Widescreen Screen Resolution 1600 x 900 Keyboard Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop Elite Mouse Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop Elite PSU Rosewill Xtreme Series RX750-D-B ATX12V v2.2 & EPS12V (750W) Case Cooler Master Centurion 534 RC-534-KKN2-GP Mid-Tower Cooling Standard Case Fans and Stock CPU Heatsink Hard Drives Western Digital 1 TB Caviar Black Edition (7200 RPM) SATA
