BIOS option "Surround View" crashes on startup
Hey all,
Brand new to the forums and relatively new to Windows 7. I was trying to enable an option my motherboard came with to allow the use of the onboard (ATI radeon 3000) and external (ATI Radeon HD5670) graphics so I could run two displays, one off of each card. I could run two off the 5670 but I like to game and have other things open and felt it would be less stressful on my gaming card to just run one off the onboard for internet and instant messaging. I set the onboard to UMA and I allowed 64MB of dedicated memory. I also enabled Surround View and set the display options so that GFX0 was primary and IGFX was secondary. Everything booted up fine with the exception of the displays switching what was shown at the log in screen. Which I fixed via the ATI tool. For some reason I felt the need to restart my PC. Upon doing so it crashed after the splash screen. If I leave all settings the way they are and disable Surround View everything boots as normal. For some reason the initial boot after enabling Surround View works fine, the next restart however causes the crash. I ran the repair tool and it came back with the following:
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: StartupRepairOffline

Problem Signature 02: 6.1.7600.16385

Problem Signature 06: 1
Problem Signature 07:0x50
OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1

I am not sure if that is the actual issue or just the repair tool failing. I hope someone can give me some insight. If you need more info from me please let me know. Thanks
