Windows 7: new graphics card advice

new graphics card advice

hi all wondering anyone had some suggestions for as to what graphics card to get i was thinking about getting a ati hd 6950 then i see theres a xfx,sapphire, or asus one and confused which is best or would getting two lesser cards be better crossfired for the same sort of price

Here is something for you. I would go for one HD6950 and I usually buy Asus, though I haven't read much about HD6950/70 because it's not available in my country yet, but you could compare Asus's card and Sapphire's for instance. Asus usually offer one year more warranty than Sapphire, if warranty is important to you.

If you are lucky to get an older version of HD6950, you might be able to unlock it to HD6970 without any problems (more info here).

Asus do some good cards, some highly overclockable if thats an option. My GTX 460 by Asus has been overclocked and still holds its original idle temperatures.

They even sell their cards (some models) factory overclocked. If that and the three-year warranty at the same time aren't a sign that the card is high quality made, I don't know what is ; )
