    Hello Gaga,

    It usually means that the graphics card is way more powerful than what you would ever need or use for your system. Thus the overkill.

    For example, buying a $700 high end graphics card for a computer that you only use to surf the internet and email with, when any cheaper $80 or less card would probably work just fine instead.

    "overkill" usually refers to having more than needed. e.g. if your video requirements are only used on a PC for web browsing and e-mail, for example, then you don't need a high end video card (overkill).
