What doe your wallet say? That's who you should be asking

Also - pre-built as in Dell or something like that? Or pre-built as in a friend or computer place built it?

This matters because if you have a proprietary power supply (only that one/kind can fit) you'll have to turn to the manufacturer for a replacement/upgrade.

Pre-built as in a shop is a big plus since they most likely used a normal ATX size case and you have your choice of which power supply to purchase. Not to mention if it where say a Dell you'd be stuck most likekly with finding a low profile card as well.

So just make sure you check out this guide https://www.sevenforums.com/graphic-c...ead-first.html And you'll have a great place to start as to what power supply you'll need for what card.

The lowest power you want your PSU to have whatsoever is 450W. Just make sure you buy a GOOD PSU because the junks may be supposed to be 650W but they can't ever reach that much. And with junk you get the possibility of unstable voltage -- lower = malfunctioning components; higher = fried components.

Although if you do not want to buy a new PSU currently but a new video card, if you go with something like either a Radeon HD 5570 or GeForce GT 430, you should have absolutely no problems running it.
