vid card acting up

Hi guys

I think my card is getting to hot.

I am in the middle of a game and then the screen goes black and tv says no signal

Then i have to reboot

I have the nvidea gts 8800. It is hooked up to my wonderful win 7

Well at first my card gave me a ton of trouble but then i updated the drivers and that seamed to fix the issue.

Any way First question what are temperature ranges on particular card.

some can go up to 100c before melting while some can only stand 80.

were does my card stand in this area?

Second of all while playing high teck games in 1920x1080 resolution in 3d i have noticed that my card gets nice and hot but the fan never goes past 60% fan speed.

How do i increase that to 100% power to fan.

In my opinion the thing about keeping a card cool is keeping it cool from the beginning lol.

Also is there a overheating protection in my card or is it just going to get hotter and hotter until it melts lol.

Thanks

Also some tips on keeping it nice and cold would be appreciated
