Windows 7 64bit not working with my Radeon HD4670

    Hi everyone,

Im new here and registered because i am at a total loss

I recently aquired Windows 7 Installation cd and tried to install it o n my CPU:

Processor: AMD Athlon x2 2.60 GHz
    Motherboard: Biostar A690M2+
    VGA: Sapphire Radeon HD 4670
    GRAM: 2x 2GB RAM

Now the problem is that the 32bit version of windows 7 works flawless with my system but the 64bit just wont work with my HD 4670...

I found out that its the HD 4670 because i tried installing windows 7 64bit with minimal RAM and onboard VGA. Then i put the pieces together 1 by 1 and booted windows to test which piece was the culprit...
After i put the HD 4670 in for the first time Windows 7 64Bit boots normally, but once it recognizes the VGA and installs a driver, after i reboot it hangs at the startup and gives me a Bluescreen with an unreadable error message, its unreadable because it rebooots too fast for me to actually read the Bluescreen message

I tried booting in safemode and disabling the HD 4670 in device manager, using driver sweeper and then installing the newest drivers but same result, after i reboot windows would restart itself on startup and give me Bluescreen

Pls note that it works fine in 32bit and that im a total CPU noob so pls refrain from any shortterms :)

    Thanks in Advance

Choose "Disable automatic restart on system failure" from the same menu where you chose to enter Safe Mode. Copy the bluescreen info into a reply to this post.

Do you check the driver version, i wonder if you installed the 32 bit ati catalyst instead of 64 bit ones?
