Windows 7: Windows 7 1680x1050 display problem

XP Pro SP3 / 7 Pro

OK. Riddle me this. I just installed a retail copy of Windows 7 Pro. I have a Viewsonic VA2012wb monitor hooked up via BOTH VGA AND DVI to a GeForce 6800 GT.

On the DVI I can only set resolutions of 800x600 OR 1024x768...
On the VGA I can only set resolutions up to 1600x1200...

but in no way can I set it to 1680x1050 which is what it is SUPPOSED to be running at.

I already have the most recent Nvidia drivers AND I even created my own monitor INF driver since the ones from Viewsonic won't install for some odd reason in Windows 7...
